The Mt. Zwingli Youth Group is for teenagers in grades 7 through 12. We currently have members from several schools – Copley, Norton, Revere, Wadsworth and Archbishop Hoban H.S. We have Youth Sunday School lessons that start during our Sunday Worship at about 10:15 A.M. The last Sunday of each month is our Youth Group Meeting, in place of the weekly lesson. There are a few occasions where the Youth Class/Group stays in the Worship service. A few examples would be: Communion, Youth Sunday or Holidays.

The Youth Group also generates most of its own funds with fundraisers. A few fundraisers we have done in the past year(s) are: Youth Group Promotions Calendar Sales, Cookie Dough Sales, host Easter Breakfast (free will offering), and our biggest fundraiser – our Annual Valentine Dinner. This Valentine’s Dinner looks like a wedding reception and the meal is always fantastic! After the dinner is the Youth Group’s Annual Happily Wed Game for entertainment. The Tenth Annual Valentine’s Dinner and Game was 2008.

Our current Mission has been “Adopt A Teen” at Christmas and Easter. We go shopping for items to put in gift baskets for a few teens from the Summit County Children Services.

Youth Group Activities and Outings: Cookout and Bonfire – we have had a hayride and scavenger hunt along with this event in previous years. Annual Trip – in past years we have gone to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Mohican Adventures in Loudonville, and most recently Kalahari Water Park and Resort. In May, 2008, we had teens and adults from our church attend Faith Night at the Cleveland Indians game.

We are currently selling 2009 calendars. They are available during Sunday morning coffee hour. Price is $6. These are a great last minute Christmas gift for family, friends, neighbors, mailman, paper deliverer, etc. Your support of this project is appreciated.

Currently the Youth Group is younger teens; however, all teens are welcome. We are always thinking of new ideas for outings, missions and fundraisers. We welcome any visitors and new members!
